Blooming Ladies — providing essential women's healthcare products and health education to women and children in remote Tamil communities.
Support this programMalarum Mangaiyar — meaning "Blooming Ladies" in Tamil — was established with a clear and urgent purpose: to ensure that women and girls in remote Tamil villages have access to basic health products and health education that most of us take for granted.
Access to proper women's healthcare products is not just a matter of health — it is a fundamental human right that ensures dignity, respect, and the ability to lead a decent life. When young girls lack basic hygiene products, they miss school. When women lack access to reproductive health information, they lack agency over their own bodies and futures.
By supporting this program, you help break the cycle of poverty and empower children to stay in school and pursue their dreams — and women to live with the dignity they deserve.

Each year, Valluvam organises the Thamizh Tharakai online event in partnership with Think Premiere to support the Malarum Mangaiyar program — honouring the inspiring stories of Tamil women who are changing lives and communities.
The event brings together Tamil communities from Toronto, Batticaloa, Sydney, Medan, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and beyond in a celebration of Tamil womanhood and solidarity.
